CAFÉ Change Planner: Changing the way organisations change is the very essence of Business Agility and Adaptability.
This hands-on, minds-on Agile Tools Session is great for business people and Agile practitioners. It offers some practical ways to understand your current organisation’s “change” personality and examines new forms and methods of change that are crucial for Agility and Adaptability.
With this in mind, we will consider a key question, “What is your current business-change style?” Knowing the answer to this is extremely important in business-transformation efforts.
Recognising your current change personality will help you understand where you are, where you need to be, and critically, ways to change the way you change.
We will use a 4×4 matrix, which I call the “CAFÉ Change Planner,” which I have used with C-Suite leaders, middle managers and change teams.
C = Commanding
A = Adapting
F = Firefighting
E = Emerging
Within this context, we will look at:
• the dominant change approach within any given business.
• the most effective change approach for Business Agility and Adaptability.
• how to create a simple language for Agilists and business leaders to exchange change ideas.
• better ways to approach the very process of change itself.
