Olivia’s Roundtable: Get Agile with LEGO
We are using LEGO to let the participants experience an agile process – a combination of Design Sprints and Scrum– hands-on. Elements of the LEGO Agile Simulation include working within self-organising teams and following Agile principles and methodology, while facilitators guide the groups through the process. An open backlog triggers teams to ideate and demonstrates the new nature of the relationship between customers and teams. It invites inter-team collaboration and mindful development of products, with the focus always on the customers’ needs. The simulation provides a first proof of concept of the Agile way of working. It teaches participants the benefits of team-collaboration towards a common goal, continuous improvements, time-boxed activities and the value of experimentation and failure. It outlines the main differences of agility versus classic ways of working and provides action points that participants can immediately transfer to real-life work.
