I am an Associate Partner at Catalyst Consulting and an Agile delivery specialist, coach and consultant with over 20 years’ experience leading, troubleshooting and delivering a broad range of enterprise-level business change, technology-enabled transformation and Agile initiatives. A former software developer and solutions architect, I began my Agile journey in 1991 and delivered some of the first Agile projects in the UK for NatWest Bank. My roles have evolved over the last two decades to encompass Agile product and programme delivery and Agile adoption and transformation; during this time I’ve applied a variety of Agile and Lean approaches (plus techniques from other supportive disciplines) to rapidly deliver best business outcomes.
My first foray into Business Agility harks back to 2005, when I directed a professional services practice for global SI, CGI Group, and led an Agile transformation initiative across the Northern European business, the programme’s goal was to enhance the businesses ability to sense and respond quickly to changes in the business environment, adapt products and services to meet customer demands (and competitor threats), and take advantage of available people. A range of challenges increasingly relevant today and I’m excited to see many of these are tackled at this conference. I’ve been working with James and the Agile Business Consortium developing the Business Agility Foundations certification.

Business Agility Foundations – Unwrapping Agile Business Consortium’s Latest Certification
Anyone interested in the paradigm shifts necessary to enable organisational agility in today’s innovative business climate will find the Business Agility Foundations workshop compelling. In this round table workshop, we will dip into the key practices, from the drivers, values, mindset, relationships, behaviours. Ideally suited for business leaders, product leads and others intrigued by business agility.
The format follows the two day course; too much to cover in 45 minutes, but we aim to touch on the three key areas:
• Setting the scene for Business Agility
• Enabling Business Agility
• Implementing and sustaining Business Agility
Join James and Neil on their table for an early glimpse at Business Agility Foundations, as they continue to develop ABC’s latest certification. Or join them at the Business Agility Foundations pilot course on 16th and 17th October in London (visit the Catalyst Consulting stand for details).
