We are delighted to introduce Daniel Thornton, Host of the Agile Business Conference 2017.
Daniel is the Programme Director at the Institute for Government, and joined in April 2015, after more than two decades of experience in the UK and international public service. He began his career in the Foreign Office, and subsequently worked in Parliament, HM Treasury, the Cabinet Office, 10 Downing Street and as a Director in the Department for Communities and Local Government. From 2009 until 2015, he worked in Switzerland for Gavi, a public-private partnership that funds immunisation in developing countries. Daniel leads on the Institute’s Civil Service-facing work, including on digital government, as well as its work on developing and supporting Ministers. He is an experienced facilitator, and has a keen interest in Agile.
“My research at the Institute for Government has shown how Government needs to embrace digital technology. To do this well, it must embrace Agile. I’m pleased to support the Agile Business Conference 2017 as a great forum for people to extend their understanding of Agile”.
