Keynote Speaker: Rob Thomsett

Rob Thomsett is acknowledged as one of the thought leaders in the Agile Project Management movement. Rob joined computing in 1968 and has been consulting and educating in the area of project management, teams and quality since 1974. Rob has published 3 books - People and Project Management, Third Wave Project Management and Radical Project Management. After 10 years in IT in the Australian Public Service, Rob has spent the last 28 years consulting and teaching Agile project management around the world. In 2001, he was recognized for his outstanding effort in education of business and IT professionals by his peers and was elected a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society. He is also on the Industry Advisory Board of the I.E.E.E. and a Senior Consultant on Cutter’s Agile Project Management practice. He is currently working with major UK companies such as e.on and bgl implementing Agile Project Management organization-wide.

The effective implementation of Agile Project Management and Agile Development is first and foremost a cultural journey. Based on the successful implementation of Agile approaches with 5 major international organizations, Rob Thomsett will present a practical overview of how through engaging business and IT experts at a cultural level first enables a more powerful and sustainable adoption of Agile Project Management and Agile Development processes.
